Jessie

we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

WTF is going on?  This thread is confusing me.

why no hope?

Jon Favreaufierirurwhatever can't direct his way out of paper bag and they've decided to take Tony Stark's alcoholism out of the story.  Now he's just a rich guy in a mechanical suit...

the later years..

They said they didn't want to try and deal with the alcoholism in the establishing film, which, from a business perspective, I can kind of understand.  Favreau wants to save that for part 2, if there is one.

Gamplayerx

Is this another comic book to film thing?

Alice

Colin gets real mean,
Any time he runs
Out of afro-sheen.

(I make up songs about my friend Colin to the tune of Iron Man.)

ReBurn

Another storyline with so much movie potential.
11:42:24 [Gamplayerx] I keep getting knocked up.
11:42:28 [Gamplayerx] Er. OUT!

Someone wake me up when the nerds and rednecks let up their grip on pop culture.

ReBurn

Sadly, I fall into both of those categories.

No kidding!  Less Spider-Man, X-Men, and Batman and more A.I: Arificial Intelligence!

Alice

More Bruce Campbell!

Beefy

Neither nerds nor rednecks have a majority grip on pop culture.

Perhaps not, but they may each have a plurality.  Can you otherwise explain the popularity of Comic Book movies and Larry the Cable guy? (not to mention NASCAR is the fastest growing "sport" in America)

Sorry if I offended, but not being in either group (I was a different type of geek, and I am most certainly not a redneck), it seems that so much of American entertainment is geared towards them.

I'm not normally a NASCAR fan, but it looks and sounds really cool in Hi-Def.

Yes it does.  My dad and I watch NASCAR when I am at home.  I am the only one that appreciates it.  His wife hates it.
