Yeah, if you notice at the bottom they mention how some in the community are upset that this has gained more attention than the recent death of a 16 year old.

I guess I'm jaded, but I find a three month old kitten more inherently innocent than a 16 year old kid.  A teenager can make choices, understand morality, etc.  Not to say that the child's death wasn't horrible or worthy of outrage (since I have zero info about it), but I can see why people make the effort for the cat.

I'd wager to say man has been depraved to his fellow man and animals from time immemorial.  We just hear about it a lot more.  And we are a lot more outraged.  I don't think even a decent human beings of 2000 years ago felt AS BAD as we do regarding animal suffering.

When I read those stories, I think of Timothy.  The youngest kid involved was his age.  I can't even fathom Timothy doing something like that.  What is wrong with those kids?

It's one screwed up thing for people to torture animals for pleasure, but to me this feels even more fucked up to do it and call it art.  And screw all those people that listened to him when he told them not to feed that poor thing.  I would like to hurt not only the "artist" but all the fucking bystanders.  They're just as guilty in my eyes.

I would have taken the dog and beat the living tar out of the "artist" or anyone at the "gallery" if they tried to stop me.  I have and have had dogs.  The most abusive thing that you can possibly say about me is not giving my dog the special soup that I make for her to go on her kibble.  In fact, I have to go an make some more soup now... yeesh!  I want there to be a special hell for all these people to go to.
