Bruce passed the lightbulb.  It was only the metal end of it - but there was some blood in his stool.  He will be going in all day tomorrow to get tests done to make sure that there is no internal bleeding - hopefully it's just a cut or scratch on his rectum.

Did your doctor say it would be alright to give him baby asprin for pain? That's what we give our puppies if they are hurting.

AHHH!!!!  Good lord no!!!  Think nothing even remotely like this.  If there is a question of internal bleeding, aspirin will have her bleeding out in minutes, and there'd be nothing you could do after that.  STAY AWAY FROM ASPIRIN!  If you're worried about pain, ask the doctor for a straight opiate (nothing conjugated to tylenol like vicodin), but that would slow gastric motility, which you'd probably like to avoid too.

He's actually on tranqs right now... it will keep his blood pressure low & his pain basically at nothing.  He is being held at the ER vets tonight, then will be moved to his normal vets in the morning. 

I've left a message for my mom, and hopefully she'll pay off half of the bills as my birthday & Xmas presents.

Yes.  He's in there.  Though I'm a really bad mom & can't remember what month he is.  I want to say November.
