MMMMMMMM.

I am just finishing up my first batch in preperations for tomorrow's poker game.  I have never tried to make it before, but I got the recipe from my dad (who got it from his dad, etc...), so it is authentic.  It smells right so far.  :)

German potato salad is the best.  I don't like mayonaisey potato salad.  Even worse is the stuff made with miracle whip.  Or the yellow glop. Ick.

I like to make egg and potato salad.  Not much mayo, some mustard...

This morning I made that Jamaican Sweet Potato Salad.  The jury is still out- I'll let you know after the picnic.

Cold.  I think it tastes better after the flavors all come together overnight......though warm has its place too.  :)

Hot German potato salad with with a sliced Polish kielbasa sausage covered in cheddar cheese straight from the oven is to die for.

No really. If you eat enough of it you will die.

But it may be worth it.

dazie, the problem wasn't so much in the cooking.  It was in the sweet potatos.

Oh, and for the record, sweet potatoes rock.  I took my wife out for lunch yesterday and I had a baked sweet potato with my meal.  A little butter and cinnamon and it was oh-so-very good!

sweet potatos are suppose to come out of the oven on Thanksgiving with marshmellows on top of them and nuts down in 'em.

sweet potatos are not suppose to be put in salad of any sort.
