It is, but not in that bad way that makes you roll your eyes when you hear the term "anime".  It's more an adult oriented, quirky action show about some bounty hunters.  And it was good enough to spawn a feature film, which was also quite good.

I think he's too old for it.  They need someone in their mid to late twenties... though I guess that's part of the things with animation, everyone interprets it differently.

I would have gone more for a James Franco.
