That song that goes "sitting here la la, waiting on my ya ya" by Meve Stiller.
Crap, now you've got me humming Otis Redding

Are you thinking of "Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song)?"
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

For some strange reason, I have "Baby Got Back" in my head.

So your girlfriend throws a Honda
Playin workout tapes by Fonda
But Fonda ain't got a motor in the back of her Honda
My anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns hun

That has to be my favorite part of the song.

Beefy

You've Got The Style by Athlete

BigDun

Save My Life by Pink.

You know this boogie is for real.
I used to buy my faith in worship,
But then my chance TO GET to Heaven slipped
I used to worry about the future
But then I throw my caution to the wind.
I had no reason to be care free
No no no, until I took a trip to the other side of town
Yeah yeah yeah, you know I heard that boogie rhythm
Hey- I had no choice but to get down down down down.

CHORUS

Dance, nothing left for me to do but dance,
Off these bad times I'm going through just dance
Got canned heat in my heals tonight baby

I feel the thunder see the lightning
I know this anger's heaven sent.
So I've got to hang out all my hang-ups
Because of the boogie I feel so hell bent
It's just an instant gut reaction, that I got
I know I never ever felt like this before,
I dont know what to do
But then thats nothing new,
Stuck between hell and high water
I need a cure to make it through.

Hey- dancing nothing left for me to do but dance
Off these bad times I'm going through just dance,
Hey got canned heat in my heals tonight baby
You know know know I'm gonna dance yeah
Off all the nasty things that people say.

You know know know I'm gonna dance yeah
off the nasty things that people say, but I'm gonna make it anyway...
Dance yeah! Got canned heat in my heels tonight baby!
You know I've got canned heat in my heels baby
You know this boogie is for real...
Only the wind can blow the answer
And she cries to me when I'm asleep
She says you know that you can go much faster
I know that peoples' talk can be so cheap
Yeah yeah
I got this voodoo child inveined on me
I'm gonna use my power to ascend
You know I got these running heels to use
Sometimes there's no way to lose
I was born to run
And built to last
You've never seen my feet
They can go so fast

Dance...yeah, hey!
Nothing left for me to do but
Dance
All these bad times I'm going through just
Dance...Hey
Got Canned Heat in my heels tonight, baby

Hey I've got to dance yeah!
off the nasty things that people say
But I'm gonna make it anyway,
Dance yeah!
Got canned heat in my heels tonight baby

You know this boogie is for real ,
So much canned heat in my heels yeah!
Gonna dance, gonna dance my blues away tonight,
You know I'm gonna dance my blues away,

You know this boogie is for real ,
So much canned heat in my heels yeah!
Gonna dance, gonna dance my blues away tonight,
Dance!
Got canned heat in my heels tonight,
Oh oh oh oh, canned heat in my heels tonight
Oh oh oh oh, canned heat in my heels tonight
Got so much...

Dance!

Hey DJ
Let the music play
I'm gonna live this party live
Hey DJ
Throw my cares away
I'm gonna live this party live
Hey DJ
Let the music play
I'm gonna this live this party live
Hey DJ
Throw my cares away
I'm gonna live this party live

Canned heat in my heels tonight!

You know, you know this boogie is for real
Got so much Canned Heat in my heels
Gonna dance, gonna dance my blues away tonight
Whoooooooo!
You know, you know this boogie
This boogie is for real
Got so much Canned Heat
Canned Heat in my heels.
You know I'm gonna dance my blues away tonight

I love that song, Igs.  I lost my Jamirqoui CD in Ireland.

*sigh*

I remember when Jamiroqoui was still a good band.  That bass player was effing phenomonal.

Youphoric

That song reminds me of Center Stage.

She's coming over
We'll go out walking
And make a call on the way
She's in the phone booth now
I'm looking in
There comes a smile on her face

They still got some of the same stuff we got yesterday
They still got some of the same stuff we got yesterday, yeah

I'm too much with myself
I want to be someone else

I'm too much with myself
I want to be someone else
I'm too much with myself
I want to be someone else

So we take off at Fiona's door
Walkin' till its light outside
Like before when we were on the phone
We have to laugh to look at each other
We have to laugh because we're not alone
As the cars fly up King Street
It's enough to startle us
It's enough to startle us

I love my drug buddy
My drug, my drug buddy

I love my drug buddy
My drug, my drug buddy
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

It's getting better all the time- the Beatles.

I don't have time to Google lyrics a la Igs.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

I only post the catchy bits that are actually stuck in my head.

As I already posted somewhere, Keane's doing a double bill with The Killers here June 8.  What a lovely birthday present that would make (psst... Grumpus ... can you hear me?).

Plus you're also getting the Kaiser Chiefs and Louis the XIV at that show!  Awesome!

I don't see Kaiser Chiefs.  Ticketmaster says Louis XIV, Regina Spektor and MAXIMO PARK.

Keane's site lists Kaiser Chiefs.

Alice

Coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss
It was only a kiss

Now I'm falling asleep
And she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke
And she's taking the drag

Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his chest now

He takes off her dress now
Let me go
And I just can't look
It's killing me
And taking control

Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Turning through sick lullaby
Joking on your alibi
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
I'm Mr. Brightside

I can't get into the Killers, try as I might.

I know everybody and their brother loves them, but that song just gets on my nerves.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

I've heard it too much. It's getting stale -- starting to reek.

I love them, don't know about my brothers.  One of them is into folk music - to the exclusion of everything else.  He had a radio show at college called "Two Guys Folking" which he thought was unendingly funny.  He's weird.
