Wow, the $1,000 doesn't seem like much of a prize, but the free studio time is great. Do they get any of the gate for opening the John Michael Montgomery concert?

Yeah, they usually charge at least $1000 just to play a gig.  I think that the connection to JMM is really where the prize lies.  I don't know about the concert door.
