My bunny is sick :(

I think that they lied to me about how old she is.  She's apparently gone blind in one eye, I think she's having trouble going to the bathroom, she's not excited about the tomato I gave her, and I think she's having trouble getting around (that's hard to say because she's always been rather lethargic). 

The baby, on the other hand, does laps around the dining room area when I let her out, and she's nearly impossible to catch.  She also eats...like a pig.

I haven't had her to the vet.  I might call someone tomorrow.  I don't have a vet.  I also don't have money, especially since I've missed so much work lately.

you might call the 24-hour emergency vet. i have to say that they have bailed me out over the phone more than once. of course, i have also paid them thousands and thousands of dollars when i've had to go in there in the middle of the night, too, so i think we're even....

but they can be very helpful.

I had a flashback to my childhood when I read that you fed your rabbit tomatos.  I read Bunnicula about 5 times in gradeschool.

I should clarify that my bunny is actually a guinea pig.  I think she's been unwell since I got her, actually.  The differences in her and Little Bit are quite severe.  When I got Bunny she was skinny.  I thought she was underfed.  I feed them very well and you can still feel her ribs.  Little Bit is a butterball and she gets fatter every day.  When I put Bunny out of the cage, she just sits there.  Little Bit sprints around like a crackhead. 

I think she's just old, to tell you the truth.  They told me she was about a year old when I got her.  I think they lied and just didn't want her because she's kind of dull in her old age.

She's very lethargic now, and if you lay her on her side, she can't roll over.

I'm sorry your "Bunny' is feeling poorly.  I know how it is to form that attachment to a pet.  I've had my heart broken sooo many times by having a pet fade and then pass.  It sucks.

I called the 24 hour vet.  $92 to walk through the door, and they can only give her fluids and o2 til the morning when she'd be transferred to a different clinic that works with exotics.

I have to work both jobs tomorrow, so I don't have time to take her to the vet.  Unless I miss work.  AGAIN.  And I've missed so much work lately with car wrecks and faulty body parts...I'm so screwed.

I've gotten two offers to pay vet bills and one offer for a fark sponsorship, though.  To house so many bastards, fark's also a real haven of caring, generous people.

I think I might try to get mom to take her somewhere tomorrow if she makes it that long.  I just hate the thought of her having her put to sleep and Timothy dealing with his grandma killing his pet, all while I'm away at work and unable to help.

Maybe I'll just have to be too sick for job #2 tomorrow.  I just don't know.
