it finally works on my computer. I guess I can quit using yahoo.

I think it's kind of a ghetto version, because it says this: For a better Gmail experience, use a fully supported browser."
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

Looks like it still says beta to me.  And there's no link to sign up.  I think it's still not totally open. 

Hey!  Anyone need an invite?  ;)

Earlier today, google.com had a thing that said "New! blah blah blah something about gmail" and had a link to sign up.

It's still there when I open IE, but it's not in Netscape.
