While on first perusal, that sounds incredibly gross, on second thought it just might be super tasty.  Much like how the salty/sweet combo of chocolate covered pretzels is a taste delight.

I just made a variant of "Firecracker Bacon" that I saw in some cookbook I have.  (this one) (can't find it now, of course)

I mixed brown sugar and chili powder and smushed it over bacon, then fried up the bacon.  I think I was supposed to bake it, but I didn't want to heat up and stink up the house.  (we have our electric griddle going outside this morning- long story)

It tasted really good.  :)  A little too spicy for most people, but I'm definitely going to try it again. 

Makes a heck of a mess on the griddle though- Gotta clean it before it hardens.

chocolate and bacon....hmmmmm.... creamy, crunchy, sweet, smokey, bacony.... what's not to like
