There's something about the Transformers animated movie that never ceases to touch the emotionally stunted and socially retarded among us. I see people talking about this cartoon as if knocking off a couple of robots was edgy (and by the way, I refuse to be in a room alone with anyone who, as an adult, gets emotional over the death of Optimus Prime. Ugh), and using the fact that Orson Welles was in it as proof of some level of quality. It's actually sad that Welles' last role was in this film, which was even worse than that one GI Joe miniseries where Cobra Commander became an actual snake.

I want to share this, but it is apparently being yanked off the Net by the suits in lickety split time.  As such, I will just link it and an admin can delete the link if they want to.  And I apologize in advance if I erred.

Anyway, someone got a pic of what Optimus looks like in vehicle form.  One could say that it may or may not be true, but since aintitcool was asked to take it down I think we can assume it is likely true.  And if you go and see the reaction here, you can tell the fans are not happy (as well as racist, in a few cases).  Not surprising.  Though it may just be a toy franchise to most people, Optimus was iconic to a whole generation of kids, and messing with his look is pretty stupid since that is the audience you need to come fill seats on opening day.
