Sugar snap peas

I bought a bunch at the farmer's market this morning.  I'd planned on making something with them for dinner, but I think I'm going to eat them all beforehand.

I love love love sugar snap peas!  As long as they're raw.

You know, I don't like peas, but sugar snap peas sound good.

I like peas in vegetable soup or fried rice.  That's about it.

I only like them in sugar snap or snow containers, raw.  I haven't had wasabi peas yet, so perhaps I like them like that, too.

My hands hurt looking at those pictures. In the summer we used to visit my grandparents on the farm and we had to peel "a mess" of those peas. I hate them. Oh how I hate them.

I've done a fair bit of bean snapping and pea shelling in my day, too, Josh.

Oh, I've snapped green beans.  But they weren't quite the yummy that sugar snap peas or snow peas are.

then again, I am cronicly lazy so anything that reminds me of work I tend to hate. Have I ever talked about lawnmowers being the devil?

that was fun. We had a crank machine and we could shuck the corn as fast as we could put it in the thing.
