In a nutshell- one of the boats (Brasil 1) has been demasted. 

SO- they're at:
40 48.02S     
89 19.02E
HERE

Which puts them roughly 2700 miles away from where they want to end up, they have no mast left to speak of, they've just spent quite a bit of time pulling their sails out of the ocean and trying to lash down the three pieces of shattered mast.

And this is supposed to be fun??
