it is.   i was there with a USAF staff sergeant who pointed out all the ranks, identified all the equipment, and was generally excited about all the air force presence in the movie.

the news graphic referred to lt. col Rhodes are colonel.  Also, I think Cuba Gooding Jr. would have been better

for some reason I thought this movie would be one that beefy had some obscure vendetta/boycott against.  I would rate it as below X-Men 2 (my favorite of the modern comic adaptations) and above Spiderman 1. 

how hopeful should I be for all sort of marvel heroes in the Avenger movie.  i mean it would be awesome if  X-men, spidey and even daredevil got a cameo

I'm going to go but I wouldn't say I'm excited.  There simply isn't that much you can do with the Hulk as a character, let alone a heroic character.  And most of that got done in the last film.

I got my Iron Man Blu-ray disc today...who wants to come watch? Be here in 30 minutes. I have snacks.

The guy at Blockbuster said they've had to ship back half off all discs sue to defects.  Scrutinize your purchase carefully.

There was a huge recall before the actual release happened. Paramount says that all is well now. No problems so far. I think I want to get Transformers, too.

Do you guys think Blue-Ray will last and eventually replace regular DVDs?  I have lukewarm feelings about the whole Blue-Ray issue and personally don't feel a need for buying them as long as DVD's are available.

And more on topic, I'm pumped about soon owning Iron Man.  I was so impressed with it.

Costco had a Blue Ray video demonstration on the difference between Blue Ray and and standard def DVDs using the animated movie Cars. They put up a dividing line and showed the difference between Blue Ray and standard def on a HiDef TV. I must admit that since then, I've been shopping Blue Ray DVD players. I'll wait until they are < $300 before I buy one. At that point we will start buying Blue Ray DVDs. Until then, standard def DVDs will do for me.

I didn't get one with Talladega Nights. I wish I did. Then I would have had something to play LittleBigPlanet comes out in a couple of weeks, though.

I still buy 95% of my movies on DVD. The more recent DVD releases seem to be copied from high def masters, so on a good upscaling DVD player (like the PS3) the picture quality is still really good. Obviously it can't put something into the picture that isn't there, but I believe that the resolution of the content is higher in the last couple of years.

I'm actually going to do a little experimenting of my own. I bought Iron Man on Blu-ray yesterday, but I also won a DVD copy at Wally World's grand re-opening this morning when I stopped to buy my lunch on the way to work. So I'm going to try to tell if the Blu-ray was really worth it, aside from the web-enabled content and exclusive special features.
