The original is a classic.  And yet, I have no problem with this.  Most people haven't and won't go seek out and watch the original.  And with the sociopolitical climate that has engulfed this planet for the last several years, I think we could all use another shot of Klaatu Barada Nikto.

The original is one of my all-time favorite movies.  I've become even more fond of it in the last half-decade or so.

One of my favorite movies of ever! I'm kind of looking forward to the remake. I foresee some real "whoa" moments.
