how is paying 600 dollars for something retail at 500 dollars considered a deal???  to me thats called *fucked over*.  correct me if im wrong.

Considering the fact that many people paid 500.00 in full to pre-order one and they won't receive it until March or April, I'm perfectly cool with dropping an extra 100.00 to get one this week.  I assume this decision qualifies me as the financial dolt of the century.

True, makes sense now.  we always want to have something ahead of time and willing to pay more for it.

The bug reports are overblown.  I know 4 people with 8 of them (1 guy is a developer for the arcade games so they have 3 extra systems + the dev kits) and none of them have had any problems.  Overheating and disc scratches are the main problems reported.

Overheating:  tards are placing the power supply next to the console in cramped poorly ventilated areas.. .or letting it rest on the carpet.

Disc Scratches:  tards are moving the unit from flat to vertical or vice versa while the disc is spinning up.

If anyone is going to get a defective one, it will be me.  It's a law of nature or something.  I guess I'll see how my luck pans out tonight.

wowzers.. it's friggen incredible.   I have a headache though.. and deadlines this week so I won't get my full game on until this weekend.  COD2 on the widescreen at 1080i is awesome..

When I buy one I'm going to have to buy a HDTV to go with it.  I've been holding out because I haven't found one that I really like.  I think my wife will be ok with the TV, but she's so going to gripe about the Xbox.  She thinks I spend too much on video games anyway.

Condemned - FPS where you bash crazed addicts on a rampage with 2x4's, axes, pipes, concrete rebar, etc...  5.1 sound that scares the crap out of you.

Yea.  I played some COD2 and PGR3 online last night.  No glitches or problems that I could tell. 
The transition from my existing live account was pretty seemless.  You just enter your MS passport email addy and password and it does it automatically.  The marketplace stuff is pretty cool.  You can download all sorts of game trailers, movie trailers, music videos, etc.  The dashboard is really nice.

I will say that the communicator packaged in the premium system sucks balls.  It's 10 times worse than the original communicator from the 1st xbox.  Cheap cheap manufacturing.  The head band part of it broke from me taking it out of the plastic wrap.
