I didn't know the live one was crappy.  I assumed they were both the same type of humor.

I should get the Ingmar Bergman DVD Collection and Season One of the Jeff Foxworthy Show. I bet they really complement each other.

Similar, but the cartoon is better because they have really strange enemies.  The live-action version is more like a sitcom with superheroes... which is still interesting, although not as good as the cartoon.
