One of my continuing issues with DeCandido, as I've read a lot of his books, is that the final action takes place far too quickly.  He's really much better at setting things up.  The first 200 pages are very good, but everything from the entrance to Reaver Territory to the very end seems really tightly-crammed into 50 more pages.

As a novelization, I really can't comment on the storyline, but DeCandido does what I think all of us did in our heads while we watched the movie.  Also, unlike many novelizations I've read, DeCandido sticks very strongly to the original script, not going off it in any of the really-important scenes.

Not a bad book, but there's no real need to have it if you've already spent the money on the series and the film.

I don't understand how someone is allowed to make money off of novelizing a book.  They didn't come up with the plot, the character development, the background - anything.  It seems cheap and wrong to me.
