Poor doggy.

We all know you hate dogs and are secretly rejoicing.
I'm terrified of dogs, but I still have empathy.

Hope the healing goes well, Catchr.

I know.  I was teasing.  We all know you're nice.  That's why we love you.

did you have to hold viktor while the vet put dye that looks like highlighter-pen ink in his eye?  i felt bad doing that

but the worst was the kennel-cough vaccine.  "here sir hold your dog tight while i SHOOT A SYRINGE FULL OF LIQUID UP HER NOSE THEN COVER HER MUZZLE"  could have warned me about that, dick.

i couldn't bring them to my parents house for that same reason, my grandma is petrfied of dogs.  She is also 95 and grew up in a place where pretty much all dogs were feral.

no he was just checking it out with his hand, while i held him down.   They put the ink and the eye numberer in the back, but i could hear him yelping.   This is the same clinic...

IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME

i saw a thing on animal planet one time where a turtle's shell was damaged, and they took it to a body shop and used fiberglass patching to repair him.

I have to open his eye socket and drop these eye drops in 3 times a day.  Its really gross.

The stiches come out next week!

I couldn't get him to sit still for the picture, its not an eye patch.  That is his fur shaven down around his eye, and his eye shut.

Does the funnel collar make him walk into walls?  My dog walked into walls and doorways and stuff because he couldn't see around his.  It was pretty funny.

Yes, and he can get out of the dog door, but for some reason has extreme trouble getting back in that door.

I'm a tad worried, I'm not sure if I'm applying the eye drops correctly.  Its not easy peeling open his eyelids and dropping them in.   As long as I got the liquid in some crevice of his eye it should be ok right?  any advice on holding a squrimy dog and putthing stuff in ihs face?

Gamplayerx

I don't know about dogs, but with cats, you sort of sit on them and bring the dropper around from the back of their head so they don't see it coming.

He looks like an Ewok after it's been in a barfight.

do you know of any sort temporary animal sedative?

dazie

Since he's kind of smallish- try wrapping him up like a mummy in a bath towel.  Put his front legs down toward his belly and extend his back legs out behind him.  I'm serious- duct tape may help keep the towel on unless you have an assistant.  Make a Viktor burrito and do it that way.
