So it looks like I'm going to get an iPhone.  My stepMIL evidently has an extra, and said I could have it and be on her account.  We're still working out the details, but it would mean a few things:

• I'd have a Hawaii phone number.  Kooky. 
• My cell phone expenditures would then be less than $50 a month (Bo's bill), because K8's already on her account, and Tim pays his own now.
• I'd need to get some apps for said iPhone.

Any recommendations on apps?  What are the ones you can't live without or that you really like?

Get a Google Voice account/app (Free) and then get a local number.  That way SF people will call you.

I use the Facebook app a lot.  Angry Birds, too.

I have a droid and I love it. So, ummm, you should get the droid app. Only it's not an app, it's a phone. I guess what is I'm saying is that I have nothing to add to this thread.

If you have Netflix, get the Netflix app.  It's awesome.

Also, there's a crappy app called Overdrive that will let you check out library e-books from some libraries (the book reading interface is fine, it's just getting to that point is crappy).

Kindle app.
