My wife and I tend to retire to bed and watch an episode or two of older TV series on DVD before going to sleep. Our last series was Gilmore Girls. Currently we are watching Twin Peaks. Next might have to be Carnivale.
Others we have watched are:
Buffy Veronica Mars Sports Night Dark Angel House Friends Dexter
Any suggestions as "must watch TV on DVD" series?

Yes. I refuse to enter this decade with my TV choices.

I used to LOVE Tales of the Gold Monkey. I think I'm going to have to get some of those again.

I love Weeds. I watched the first five seasons in a VERY short period of time.

I remember when we used to watch TV when we went to bed. Now it's more just collapsing in bed once the baby is asleep.
Our two current shows are Shaq Vs. and Wipeout.
We both heart Shaq very much. Last night we watched him go against Jimmy Kimmel and it was epic.
Sara DVR's The Young and the Restless and Bachelor Pad and watches those while she feeds the baby. I catch enough of each show to know that I want to be Victor Newman when I grow up, and the Bachelor series isn't going to stop until someone murders someone else.

I like Shaq, I have watched the show, and think it is okay, I just never know when it is on.
Wipeout is awsome.

I'm currently working my way through Buffy. I'm up to season 4. And whenever I watch it, I think of you, CD. I love Netflix Instant. And I love that it's now on my iphone.

Watched disk 1 of Tales of the Gold Monkey last night.
The child does not appreciate the subtle genius of that show. "Is one bark yes and two barks no?" "Hey Jake- there's something I forgot to tell you..." GENIUS.
Not really. But it is a fun show.

Just netflix streamed the first episode of The Tudors. DAYUM. That boy is hot. H.O.T. WARM. Were there other people in the show? Oh- right- the other HOT ones. Who knew England was so hot? WTF happened? I mean... really... THIS: vs. THIS:
