I had forgotten just how good a film this movie was.  Tatsuya Nakadai, Toshiro Mifune, and Kô Nishimura directed by Kihachi Okamoto is too much to pass up on.  I hadn't seen it in years.  Well worth the 25 bones for the Criterion Collection( though sadly missing the usual audio commentary essays you can find on the good CC DVDs )
