Jessie

I'm listening to Ricky Skaggs Bluegrass Breakdown.

While I know it's not for everyone, I don't know how anyone doesn't love this.

The level of skill required for this type of music is mind blowing.

And that's followed up with Living Colour.

Do you all have varied taste in music?

What are the two most polar opposite cds/mp3s in your collection?
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

dazie

My most favorite three at the moment are:

Khaled- N'ssi N'ssi
Pink Floyd- Momentary Lapse of Reason
Various artists- Bachelor Pad Royale  (basically '50s music to get laid to)
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

Jessie

The Division Bell is my favorite Pink Floyd.  Either that or Dark Side of the Moon.

I don't know those other ones, but you can't go wrong with music to get laid to.

I think that of my cds the two that go together the least might be Eminem and Otis Redding.

Or maybe Bluegrass Today and Nirvana.

Of my mp3s I'll go with Liz Phair - Flower and Ricky Skaggs - Walking in Jerusalem.

One's about being a blowjob queen, and one's about Jesus.

I really want a couple o fthe songs from the Collateral soundtrack.  Especially the one from the Hong Kong dance club.

Back when I had CD's (stupid theives) I had a lot of Sinatra, on the opposite end, I also had a few NWA cd's.  Toss in some rock and alternative. The only music i don't really dig is heavy, heavy metal, and country.

cnamon

I listen from everything from Broadway showtunes to hardcore rap.

On my way to Home Depot, I listened to Rosemary Clooney followed by Luke.

I find my music tastes rather eclectic as well. I have stuff on here from Vivaldi to the Verve, from Etta James to the Eagles LEMON JELLY. I just like good music!

You're allowed to like The Eagles.

I'm allowed to toss dirty socks at you as a result.

This topic refuses to be marked as read for me.

I guess I'll just keep reading it and replying to myself.

I like Allison Kraus.

I don't think I spelled that right, though.

Are you all talking about semen? Mmmm, semen.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

My most divergent music is my Spice Girls tape and my Sigur Ros cd.

Hmm....I'd have to say Gloria Estefan and Type O Negative.

from this last weekend, tunes included the vocal stylings ranging from the Manhattan Transfer to Insane Clown Possy to Nina Simone to Uncle Craker to Wisconsin Marching Band 30th aniversary Spring Concert.  It was a very weird weekend indeed, from a musical prespective.

Thanks Beef!  Not truly extreme as, say some neo-traditionalist country (Dwight Yokum, anyone?) and Klingon pipe-banging hymnals... but pretty close!

I have owned three separate copies of the soundtrack to Dream a Little Dream.

I like the sound of a drive by mooing.

Dark_Lord

I'm going through a Silverchair phaze right now. Dunno why but they fascinate me.

lessthanthree.

I have all of their albums and am a heavy follower.

I just bought the Dream a Little Dream soundtrack again off Amazon.

Stars shining bright above you Night breezes seem to whisper I love you Birds singin' in the sycamore trees Dream a little dream of me. Say nighty-night and kiss me Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me While I'm alone and blue as can be Dream a little dream of me. Stars fading but I linger on dear Still craving your kiss I'm longin' to linger till dawn dear Just saying this Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you But in your dreams whatever they be Dream a little dream of me
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.
