Originally from Deux Gros Nez in Reno.  Doo-grr-nays is dead.  Long live Doo-grr-nays.  :(

Transcendent Brown Rice

Brown rice- freshly made, hot.
raw carrots, chopped
raw tomato, chopped
raw green onion, chopped
other raw veg as desired, chopped
cheese, cubed (I like cojack, but go where the spirit moves you)

Mix as much of or as little of everything with the hot rice.  The heat from the rice wilts the tomato and the green onion and makes the cheese a little melty.  There's usually no need to add any other seasonings, including salt.  YUM.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

Beefy

Only to be eaten in a meditative state.
