Moby Dick?

I haven't read it yet. I'm thinking it'll be the lit thing for this summer.

(Ok, y'all can climb into the gutter now...)
I was just wondering...

I don't like seafood.

I prefer LJS chicken.

It's been a long time since I read it, but I distinctly remember thinking that the quality of writing dipped in the middle of the novel.  Strong start, weak middle, strong end.

Alice

I personally don't think it's worth the time it takes to read.  There are so many better classics to sink your teeth into.

May the Magic Plastic bless you and keep you.

agreed. read the beginning, the White Chapter, and the end and you're in good shape.

i liked both billy budd and bartleby the scrivener better than moby dick, if you've decided to give melville a shot.

I wanted to read one of the war horses of literature this summer, I figgered the white whale was a good'un.
