I read the first 45 pages of this book last week or so. I doubt I'll finish it.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

that's discouraging. apparently he missed the "engaging narrative" boat?

There are four first-person narrators, and he changes who is narrating every two pages. I can't get into the story and I find it annoying.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.
