Incredible movie.  Even more powerful by the recent Prop 8 crap.  And I never knew this is where the whole twinkie defense came from.

I am eager to see it.  As much as Sean Penn annoys me when he does stuff "IRL" I really enjoy his acting.

I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

He was really good in this.  I was impressed by almost everyone's acting.  One person irritated me a bit, but other than that I thought the acting was excellent.

Beefy

Can't wait to see it.

BigDun

Hard to believe he got his start as Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. But then again, Tom Hanks got his start in a short lived sitcom about two cross dressing guys.

Is this something on DVD or in the theaters?  I don't recall hearing about it till now.

Theaters.  Just out now in limited release.

I loved it.  We went to see it in the Castro Theater.

I think I may go see it again.
You're an asshole and I hate you.

i just saw this tonight and loved the performances - sean penn was brilliant. i completely forgot that he was sean penn, which is not a sentence i ever imagined i'd think, much less say.

but again, mr van sant needs to get out of the way. i always find his directing kind of precious. unlike sean penn, gus van sant NEVER disappears from his movies.

what the hell was up with the brady bunch phone tree visual?

but this is totally worth seeing for the performances.

That part bugged me, mostly because of all the pictures that were the same.

Maybe it was just me, but Emil Hirsch's (sp?) performance bugged me at times.  Aside from that, I was amazed with everyone else.
