Word on the ground is that there's a price drop coming. The "Arcade" system without the hard drive is supposed to be $!99 this Sunday with a price cut of $50 on the Pro and Elite models to follow.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a refurb. My 360 bricked before last Christmas, but Microsoft fixed it for free. New units come with a 1 year standard warranty and a 3 year general hardware failure warranty. You'll probably get 30 to 90 days with a refurb, and an older unit is something I wouldn't trust just because of their propensity to crap their pants.

I don't really have the $$$ for games right now.  I own Left 4 Dead, cuz my friends got it for me for my birthday.  ANd I'm going to be borrowing Fallout 3 in a bit from a buddy.
