Memorial Day BBQ

So I'm going to a BBQ on Monday and I've been asked to bring something to eat.  Last night, I was searching the internets looking for good side dish recipes.

Here's the side quest to this.  It's my friend Shroom's birthday - so essentially the party is for him.  He was raised for the past 25 years being told he was allergic to shellfish.  At a party months ago, I brought over lobster dip for crackers.  He tried some, didn't have any bad reactions and ate almost all of the dip.  I believe he's had other shellfish since. 

I'd like to make a fairly inexpensive side dish that has lobster or crab in it.  Just for him.  I was thinking crab stuffed endives.  Though if anyone else has inexpensive shell fish side dish recipes, I would love to hear them!  So I guess that's what this thread is about... anything good you'd like to share.  Thanks guys.

I have the perfect recipie.  All you need is a 5 pound lobster.

Step 1: Grab the lobster by the tail
Step 2: Beat the ever lovin' shit outta shroom's mom for poisoning his head with unnecessary fears his entire life
Step 3: Dice shroom's mom up
Step 4: Boil the momchunks for 20 minutes, or until they turn white.
Step 5: Mix her in with the 'tater salad, serve.

I can tell you how to make awesome and easy pasta salad that is horribly addictive, but I don't do seafood.

Crab rangoons are tasty and good for snacking.  Also cheap.

Oh, man.  Crabmeat Rangoons are heavenly. 

I don't know how to make them, though.  I don't cook.  Um, but here's a recipe I'll just make up.  Maybe it'll work.

Get some wonton wrappers.
Get some crabmeat.
I think you want some creamcheese.
Dice some chives.

Mix the crabmeat, creamcheese and chives in some sort of quantities.  Put a dollop of the mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper.  Fold it to look like a turtle on it's back with it's legs sticking up and flailing.  Um, maybe deepfry?  It needs to be cooked some how.

Serve with sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
