Anyone know how to make white chili?

I made some last night, but it's really bland.  It's spicyish, but the underlying taste was quite bland.

This is what I did:

great white northern beans
chicken
sauteed onions and garlic
green chiles
cumin
oregano
cilantro
salt
a little red pepper

Am I missing something?

More chilis- perhaps a ground chipotle?  Maybe some white pepper for bite.

Or you can add some hot sauce.

As for the hot sauce, I thought about that, but I wonder why it just doesn't seem to have much flavor, beyond spicy.
