Dry then Catch

is really funny.   Its quirky deadpan humor. The hook is it that there are 2-3 musical numbers per episode.  Think an indie version of Weird Al, sans the pop culture references.  Also both main characters (naive New Zealander muscians whose arch rivals are in New York are Australians) are deadpan straightmen, which is interesting.

I don't have HBO.  I was watching it on YouTube until HBO got pissed that they were putting entire episodes up.

The funny thing is as soon as they get yanked, people just repost them after a few days.  And it takes about another 2 weeks for HBO to have youtube block them again.

you can also get high quality versions easily from torrents.

Reaffirming my love for this show is pretty much the best TV comedy I've seen in years (and this includes both versions of the Office).  And its on for a second season!

I like how (other than a few incidents) its PG rated.

Do you have mermaid parties beneath the sea?
Am I invited?
At these mermaid parties do you smoke seaweed?
If so, then how do you light it?

For my favorite comedy of almost all of the 2000s, it really started with a bang, sustained it but those last two episodes sort of ended very flatly.   :(

DVDs out the 6th!

I haven't been this obsessed since the Simpsons of the mid 90s.

Beefy

Today I was introduced to a comedy show.  I think it's called "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".  Check out the Night Man / Day Man thread from earlier.  I think I might have to get invested into it.

this evens out the fact they backed this show despite early doubts.  And it was only $20

And the Rome DVD is chock full of shit.  Well it better be for nearly 50 each.
