I've read that the sound created by the ducted fans used exceeds 100db. You would need a really loud stereo to listen to NPR on your way to work.

They could put some of those generators on it that turn noise into energy. I saw them on television. Then you wouldn't hear the noise and once started it could power itself. Win-win if you ask me.
