i know jessie loves me more than she loves any of you, because she washed the side of my garage.

those are black raspberry bushes that she's braving there.

Beefy

I wish I had been there.  Sometimes manual labor is fun when you're with the right folks.

nishi

we had enormous amounts of fun, beef. i wish you had been there, too. i know you would have had a great time.

this is the dreaded Back of the Garage....

Now, that's devotion!

this is the only picture i took today (it's a new camera and i'm still getting used to it), but, like i said - there will be more finished and more dramatic photos tomorrow. i promise.

but in the meantime, it looks SO beautiful.

I don't appreciate you calling my ass that.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

nishi

and no set of pictures from me would be complete without a picture of at least one of the dogs. this is willie, depressed because all his new friends went home. also, no one gave him pizza.

Jessie

I *heart* all of nishi's animals.

And the pizza.  Holy crap, that was sooo good.

nishi

the pizza was awesome. the company was fantastic. so many of my favorite people all in one place.

and it meant a lot of have jessie there. first, because i adore her, and also because it was a wonderful way to bring together different parts of my life that are really important to me.

it was a wonderful, wonderful day.

I love it.

I love the garage the most, I think.

Beautifuk.

Very nice. Congrats on getting it done!

I like the prayer flags, but aren't they supposed to be at the highest point aorund?  I had some hanging above my desk in grad school.  Saddly the fire got'em.  I'll try to remember to post the pictures from the fire later tonight.
May the Magic Plastic bless you and keep you.

DownSouth

Nice.  Very colorful.  Where's the beer pong?
16:15:43 [Gamplayerx] Juneau, I could really go for some pie. You better Belize it!

nishi

prayer flags are best if they're at the highest point around, but it's also ok to hang them in what basically becomes "the highest point you can reach without killing yourself". the higher you hnag them the more wind moves through them, and the farther the prayers travel on the backs of the wind horses.....

i used to be able to tell the pizza delivery guy, or someone coming to my house for the first time, "it's the only house for blocks with tibetan prayer flags". but the eldest son of the family at the end of my street is now studying at a monastery in dharamsala and their yard is FILLED with prayer flags - it's very nice to see, especially given the attitude of many of the other neighbors ("oh look! here's another little corner of space! let's put on another 2-story addition!")

we ended up too exhausted to play beer pong. i have to invite everyone back for ping pong.

OR.... we can plan a junto ping pong party at nishi's. i think that's really REALLY REALLY the very best plan of all.

I'm so there.

It's about time to start planning our next get-together, it's been three months already.

I miss you bastards.

So you are like turning the neighborhood in to your own Tibetian Buddhist ghetto?

NEAT!

eventually you may have cutting edge Tibetian rap groups exploding to national prominence.  weeeeee!
May the Magic Plastic bless you and keep you.

Ah, the prayer flags.  You may have thwarted our earlier attempt to get them, but we'll try again ....  Those flags will be ours.
