Tonight, I'm working on my ever pressing goal of learning to like beer.

Oddly enough, I'm drinking MGD, because it's the weakest tasting beer that I've found, so I like it for all the reasons everyone else hates it.

Now if only my company would get here to drink it with me.  And eat pizza.  And stuff.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

Try this- get some PBR (I suppose MGD would do) and mix it half and half with lemonade.

Then work up to a really good IPA/lemonade mix.  Good stuff.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

Jessie

Gross.

I don't like beer OR lemonade.

Congrats!  I think.

Lemonade and beer mixed is pretty nasty.  In Switzerland, if you're under 16, you can only order a panaché or a shandy - which is beer mixed with lemonade.  Can't get the straight beer until you're 16.

dazie

The brewpub here makes it and calls it a "cyclist" for some reason.  Good when it's hot out.

Try an Irish one called Smithwicks pronounced "smitticks"

Another few flavors to break yourself in on:

Miller Genuine Draft
Tequiza-tastes like corona light with lime
Corono
Tecate in a bottle-with lime

Gamplayerx

Try Miller Lite.  None of that nasty sticky mouth stuff.

p.s.  VJ, I think MGD stands for Miller Genuine Draft.  Although it could be Monster Giggle Dumpster.  I'm a bit unclear on that point.

Miller Lite is too Hoppy and has a bitter taste.  Once you've had good beer, you never go back to Swill Lite

If you think Miller lite has too much Hops and bitter taste, perhaps you should have a fanta.

Maybe it's just me, but if you have to learn to like it then perhaps you shouldn't be doing it anyway.  But like I said, maybe it's just me.
11:42:24 [Gamplayerx] I keep getting knocked up.
11:42:28 [Gamplayerx] Er. OUT!

I used to be of a similar opinion, especially since beer has more negative effects than positive.  However, I have since come to realize that my propensity for sweet beverages was a product of pop and kool-aid being my only drinks as a child, and acquiring a taste for bitter beverages has opened many doors and helped me kick my dependence on caffinated pop.

DownSouth

I second the Miller Lite.  Hardly any taste.
16:15:43 [Gamplayerx] Juneau, I could really go for some pie. You better Belize it!

Alice

I love Smithwicks.  We pronounce it "Smithicks" in the Chicago area though.

Well, we would pronounce it as it's friggin' spelled, but we say "Smithicks" in deference to liguistically challenged easterers.  I thought I was being proper.  Now I'm just going to call it "Smicks."

As did I.

I want to drink beer because it's easier and cheaper than the alternative if I want to drink alcohol.
