Are fireflies the same as lightning bugs?

One night, my cousin and I caught like 150 lightning bugs and kept them in a jar and watched them blink all night.  Then they died.  The end.

Also, lightning bugs stink, even when they're alive.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.
