Yeah.  It was nauseating.  Which, I believe, is kind of anti to the supposed purpose of pepto.

okay, how about a when salsa and cream cheese mix and turn pink?

I revise my original statement to state that lox, although pink, is awesome.  And who the hell mixes salsa and cream cheese?

heat up a block of cream cheese, put it in a bowl, and fill the rest of the bowl with salsa.  it's sooooo good.  duuurrr duuuuuuuuurrrrr duurr.

I find it hard to believe that this melty cream cheese salsa bowl is on your freaky diet.  Do you eat it with a spoon or a fork?

it's not on my diet, but it used to be.

The active ingrediant in Pepto Bismol is Bismuth Salicylate.  This disolves in the stomach and the Bismuth combines with the trace Sulfur in the gastro-intestinal tract forming Bismuth Sulfide, which is a dark precipitate.  There is also sulfur on the tongue, usually from food residue and gas expulsion.

It is the same process.  It doesn't take much Bi₂S₃ (I believe that is right....I just woke up) to discolor either end. 

On another note, I find bismuth to have one of the more interesting crystal structures.  Let me see if I still have that link...Ah hell....here is one.
