I'm thinking it wasn't necessarily the best movie for me to watch before bed, but I didn't have nightmares - just really vivid dreams.

This was such a great movie, I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more acclaim in the States.  Though people have to read it, so it could be part of it.

The "one, two, three... knock on the wall" part creeped me out the most for some reason.

Why did they make her suicide like such a joyous event?  Also, I would be mad at the kids for what they did.  especially since we were friends before they died.

I don't think they made it that joyous.  But then again, I was under the impression that bitch was crazy... and that none of the kids were real ghosts.  Maybe I've interpreted it wrong.

hmm if the ending was meant to be tragic and the beauty and soft music was ironic... i guess that is left open to interpretation.  

its been awhile since i saw it, but didn't the bag headed horse kid biting her pretty much show that she was grounded in reality?  And how else would she have solved the mystery without their help?

But the bag headed horse kid could have been her son, pissed off at her for slapping him.  And she solved the mystery by running out of other places to find the doorknob's home.

This movie is pretty much what a horror movie should be.  It's incredibly suspenseful, without all the jump out at you shock-scares that most horror movies resort to.

I don't know if she was crazy or the ghosts were real.  I think that could go either way, depending on how YOU want to see it.  I was annoyed, though, that the kid had been missing 6+ months and the house hadn't been turned upside down looking for him.  I would think that they'd have found either him or the skeletons before.  It seemed that they'd never even searched the shed after he went missing.  That really bugged me, and took something away from the movie for me.  Other than that, though, it was fantastic.

I jumped and said "OH SHIT" when the lady got creamed by the bus, and Carroll and I both jumped when the door to Thomas' little house slammed shut behind her.

It was really well done with how it showed that she'd inadvertently killed him, too..
