Good, perhaps better than good, but certainly the lesser of the three films in the Vengeance trilogy. It had some nice references to SFMV in it, and some nice casting, but didn't have the thematic weight the previous films.

Oh, also it had Min-Shik Choi in it, which, as Bish will agree with, makes it worth paying attention to.

Just watched this saturday. I loved it, not as uncomfortable to watch as Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (which I had to actually leave the room a few times while watching).
I thought the whole decision scene was my favorite part. It made me connect to each character way more than any other part of the story. The murder re-creation was pretty good!

Well, I was puzzled by my reaction to it, especially after hearing PE's reaction to it. I felt very distant to the film while watching it the first time, whereas the first two really pulled me into them. I started to suspect my reaction was more a reflection of my mood than the film itself.
So then?
I was more involved the second time, though still not as much as the other films. I think the film telegraphs it's moments so early that there is a real lack of surprise involved. It's more akin to waiting for the inevitable. It's still sharply made and wonderfully acted.
Oh, and PE is right that the decision scene packs a fun punch.

Yeah, it's completely underrated and underappreciated. It's taken too long to get to DVD.

Maybe I just like packaging. Maybe I am more interested in people coming over and seeing that I own these films, so they know I have good taste.

Just watched Sympathy for Mr Vengeance. Wow. Lady Vengeance is next in my queue.
I thought these two movies were in a trilogy with Old Boy, am I wrong? It looks like the third movie is Joint Security Area, not Old Boy.
