Title: Hey BD!
Post by: dazie on January 05, 2009, 11:45:10 AM
Skye has a Kindle, right?  Does she like it?  Is it worth the cost?

She absolutly loves it. She takes it with her everywhere and read the entire Twilight series on it. When she's not got a book to read, she uses it to browse for interesting titles and reads the first chapter of books (for free) that she might buy later. I bought it for her and got $100 off by signing up for and buying it with an Amazon Visa card.

OK- now that the price of Kindles (1 & 2) has skyrocketed, a friend of mine says "I have one that I don't ever use.  Make me an offer."

What's a good offer?  I was thinking $100.

That was my first thought.  *lol*  Except I was going to go as high as $8.

My wife says that as long as it's in good shape, then $100 is a great price for a used Kindle. Of course it's not the new version, but my wife says that the features of the new Kindle don't interest her.

K.  I emailed my friend and offered $100.

Well- technically a $100 gift card to any store.

Whoop!  She agreed!  She's going to send it out tomorrow.

BD- wanna hear/read something funny?  The fact that I can get Cryptonomicon for Kindle convinced me to get it.  :)  Now I won't have to lug around 1500 pages.

Those lazy bums should be finding some real jobs anyway.

Whoop!

I haz a Kindle.  I like it.  :)

I am a tad irked that most of the books I want to read are $9.99, but I haven't investigated the whole library yet.

I don't think I'd pay full price for one though.

I just got a Kindle DX for Father's day.  It just arrived yesterday.  I can't believe how much I have already read.

Is that the big one?  I'd like to see one of those.

I DL'd I think 7 "classic lit" books the other day for free.  Pride and Prejudice- DOWN.  Working on Tess of the D'Urbervilles.  I hated it in HS, maybe it won't suck as much now.

The DX is the big one. I have a pic of it on my FB page.
