Title: Book Recall
Post by: dc on March 09, 2005, 05:53:56 PM
On the company's intranet site today, there was an item about pulling a defective title off of our shelves.  We get these from time to time, and for various reasons.  This one has to be the best, though.

We have to pull all copies of the title "Perfect Vegetarian", because......  "The title is a vegetarian cookbook that includes a number of meat recipies."

There was a restaurant here that served veggie chili con carne.

How does someone make that big of a mistake?

How does someone make that big of a mistake?

The better question is -- how did the mistake get missed until after it was already in stores?

I think it's a plot by the Beef Council.

the better question is -- when will the author be taken out and shot at dawn by angry vegetarians?

That's a whoops.  God forbid a vegan would make the mistake of following the recipe literally ::)

Not often, but sometimes when I'm surfing this board I will run across something so funny that I literally laugh out loud making my kids ask me what is so funny.  It just happened.

I'd like to see the look on a Vegetarian's face if they made the recipe and didn't notice the meat.

This recipe calls for 12 pounds of ground beef. Well, it is a vegetarian cookbook, so ok.

I imagine that only those made from real girl scouts would be a problem.
