Title: Twice baked...
Post by: dazie on September 08, 2007, 08:19:13 PM
mmm...  I am very excited about this.

I bought a couple big sweet potatoes from the farmer's market today.  I baked them, scooped out the innards and mixed it with some cooked sausage and farmer's cheese.  I added some salt, pepper, caraway and cinnamon and dumped it all back in the hollowed out shells.

They're cooking now.  It smells SO GOOD.

I never thought about doing twice baked *sweet* potatoes.  That's an excellent idea!  Thanks!

It was good.  Not quite gooey enough, I think next time more cheese and spicier sausage.  I got mild.

I think my cholesterol raised just reading this thread.

Also, sweet potatoes -- ick.

I'm with you there.

Sweet potatoes with cheese?  Double ick.

Now make me a baked regular potato with chicken and cheese and we're in business.

It was farmer cheese.  Didn't taste like anything.

Had some left over (I was working and didn't get to try) and Dazie heated some up.

Mmmmmmmmm...

I agree, it does need a bit of heat.
