Post by: dazie on August 07, 2007, 11:57:09 AM
Sometimes my mother in law can be SO HELPFUL!  :gamp:

1 pkg Graham crackers (10-12 double), crushed
1/2 lb butter, melted
2 Tbl sugar

Mix together & line pie plate

4 pkg cream cheese(3/4 lb)
1/2 C sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 beaten eggs

Cream together.  Pour into crust.  Bake at 350 for 20 min.  Cool.

small carton sour cream
4 Tbl sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix together.  Spread over top of cooled pie.  Bake at 375 for 5 min.

It is so damn good.  *swoon*

I like to add food coloring to the glaze sometimes, like for Easter.  Makes it festive.

I made this last night and have a few things to add:

Crust is way harder to make than it sounds.
When it says "cool", you should really let it cool instead of just letting it sit for 5 minutes and then moving to the next step.
Despite how ugly I made the pie look, it was still very very yummy and we ate it all. It's also really good with a little ice cream.

Hey- some people like making pie crusts, others juggle baby geese.  Goslings.

Who am I to judge?

Yes, this is a fertile land.  And we will thrive!  We will rule over this land and we will call it... this land.

(You can get juggling goslings, btw)

Wish me luck.

Tied for 2nd.  If Kate hadn't voted for the Oreo Truffles I'd have had 2nd in a LOCK.

Evidently.  They're pretty tasty.
