Title: Sewing Machine
Post by: sapphirehart on March 08, 2005, 02:02:08 PM
I have a sewing machine that I got for christmas a couple of years ago.  It sits on a table in my bedroom.  When I first got it, I was thrilled and would spend hours just sewing material together.  I never actually made anything.  I started making a quilt, but lost interest in it rather quickly.  Now, I just use it to mend clothes that my boys or Terry somehow manage to rip or tear.

I really wanted a sewing machine but now that I have it, I rarely use it.

I wanted a sewing machine so I could quilt, but I don't have room for it.

I just need a needle and thread so I can put the button back on my pants.

I'm getting my great-grandma's sewing machine when I finally move.

I can't sew a goddamn thing, so I guess I'll use it for decoration.

I really wanted a sewing machine and finally got one and went out and bought a pattern and some really expensive material, but before I started that, I figured I do some mending.  First thing I went to sew, the entire needle housing broke in two.

I don't know where it is now.

Look behind the table legs.

I rather enjoy sewing myself. I made a patchwork quilt once out of all these little scraps of fabric I got for free from the local interior designer place.

I used it when I was away at school but now it's in a trunk in the garage.

Does it hurt?

Hehehe, no it's a lot like biting the inside of your mouth, you have to start slow and work your way up.

I wasn't making fun of you!!

But I don't know how it is impossible to bite the inside of your lip either.

OMG!  I just removed a small portion of flesh from the corner of the inside of my lip!  It peeled off like paper or something.  I don't think I'll probably do it again, though.

I have a portable sewing machine that I don't use very often.  I used to have a great old fashioned one that I made all Tim's baby stuff with.  I sold it and I wish I hadn't.  For all it's lack of fancy extras, it was 100 times the sewing machine I have now.   :'(

About 8 years ago my wife decided she needed a sewing machine.  You know what she's sewed on it?  Nothing.  It just sits in the closet.
