Title: Pomegranates
Post by: Gamplayerx on August 22, 2006, 06:47:36 PM
Mmm!  I love pomegranate.  So yummy and messy and fun to eat.  We rarely get them in the stores around here, but they're here now!  Yay!  I'm currently gleefully eating about 1/2 a pomegranate worth of seeds.

If you've never had pomegranate, you should.  Now.

I know I had mentioned pomegranate somewhere before, but I was too lazy to search.  Plus, they really deserve their own thread.

Love them.  LOVE THEM.

They're messy and wonderful.

Chill some vodka and freeze nice shot sized glasses.  Drop 8-10 pomegranate seeds into the glass, fill with the vodka and drink and eat.  YUM.

If I drank vodka, perhaps I'd try that.  You like to combine vodka and fruits, don't ya?

I'm up for combining vodka with just about anything.  I like it.  :)

But I can't take credit for that recipe- I got it from a Jamie Oliver cookbook.  Although he might have used gin.  Gross.

Who's Jamie Oliver?  And that's not cooking.

Yeah- that was a bit of a letdown.  But he explained that the FOOD is naked, nothing poncey or frou frou about it.

Still- total misnomer.

So, he's a non-naked guy who doesn't cook and calls himself the naked chef?  I think we should get together a class action and sue!

I've had the cherry and blueberry.  They're very... juicy... and so I can only drink them in sips.
