I wish every car had that alarm thing.  It really irks me when I see pets left in hot cars.

In Arizona, if you fail to rescue a pet/child in a locked car, you can be held liable as much as the car owner.

That being said, they also allow you to use force.  Once, when I worked at a drug store (79-82), an owner of a Rolls Royce parked in the fire lane in front of our store (fire lane), and locked their sccotty inside.  The dog was in trouble quickly, and my assistant manager made one annoucement, picked up an axe handle (kept in front for this purpose) and broke out the car window.  The owner was 10 seconds behind, and called the cops on us.  She was sited for multiple violations, and damn near punched the cop.

Ahhh, good times.
