Title: Space Food!
Post by: Reverend Al Green on July 02, 2006, 10:14:48 AM
I have a package of freeze-dried ice cream (space food!) that my little brother brought me from the National Air and Space Museum hanging on my wall over my desk.  Has anybody eaten any of this freeze-dried ice cream (space food!)?  What's it like?

Judging by the amount of time dedicated to both space ice cream and Tang in education about the space program, one would think that it surpasses the works of the great culinary masters in taste, flavor and complexity.

I have.  Many times.  I like it.  It's like melty sugary foam insulation.

mmmm. Insulation.  So, sort of like cotton candy but denser is what I am imagining.  I may just have to try it.

Yeah, but I use it to insulate my house, not for snacks.

I think I will go to th Air and Space Muesum next week and get some space food.  I am scared to go near the Mall tomorrow.  But it has been a long time since I have had space food.  Next week should be better.

I like cotton candy once in a while, but I'm skeptical about "dense and crunchy."  Crunchy?  That's just kind of wrong.

Just eat it.  If you like it and want to keep some for prosperity or something, I know where you can get more.  And if you don't like it, but want to get another to keep for prosperity or something I know where you can get more.

Also, I should warn you that it's neapolitan.  And the pink part is icky.

Also, please document the process photographically.  kthxbye.
