Ursus brought home "New Belgium Skinny Dip" last night. Yummy stuff.
From their site:
New Belgium's Skinny Dip is a full-bodied, figure-friendly beer perfect for the lightly attired summer months.
Cascade hops frolic with kaffir lime and ample malt to create a bright, citrusy nose that's as crisp as chilling in a mountain pond. Skinny Dip * a most revealing beverage.
110 calories per 12oz serving
7 grams carbs
ABV 4.2%
Good grief. A pretentious lite beer? What will the world come up with next?
Bright, citrusy nose has me cracking up. I'm picturing a glowy lemon.
Nobody will let New Belgium Skinny Dip play in any reindeer games.
that's what I thought too- it's BEER DAMMIT. I just want to drink it- not picture it frolicking with anything.
But it is yummy. Good hot weather beer.
I am standing in my new house in Delaware (no chairs), sponging free WiFi from some unsuspecting neighbor, drinking a bottle of Smithwick's and nibbling on a slice of 10 year aged Gouda.
Life is hard.
What is Smithwick's and does it have a fruity nose?
Smithick's is a beer from Ireland that I got hooked on when visiting.
I haven't tried snorting it so I can't answer the question about whether or not it feel like fruit when inhaled through the nose.

Um... At the liquor store? Is there a law against it or something? If so then a whole bunch of people going to the beach were breaking the law today.

It's Delaware... The damn state is only 25 square miles. Pretty easy to jump over the border into Pa, NJ, or the state where all the bad drivers are.

Don't be silly. Delaware is pretty far from Virginia.
I never acquired a taste for beer.

Why it gotta be white, yo?
I like a white ale, too...darker beers do not appeal to me.
From reading the description, do you need to be nearly naked to drink the beer...or just enjoy the beer?
