I had a fat dog.  But it was because she was too old to really exercise.  She just sort of laid there and panted a lot.  Then she died because she as 14.  The end.

I have a 22 year old cat.  She's skinny because her teeth are all gone and it's hard for her to eat.  YCMMV

I can understand if a dog is older, but most dogs shouldn't be obese.  IHFA TDMYLS!
