Why do they all have eye problems?

Bulgy eyeballs.  They stick out so far they're more susceptible to problems.  Same with chihuahuas.

So its purely a matter of physical construction of the eye then?  I don't think they have any more or less eye problems, if they were bulgy and easy to jab.

This is why animals kill people.

Especially since it now has 10 legs.

pugs lend themselves to costumes better than most.  I am thinking of going to Pugapalooza again this year, but not by myself again.  As I get older it will just get creepier.

she has stubbyy arms!  my shih tzu uses his paws like a person to push and open things.  My pug just uses his giant head literally.

the difficult part is having dog costumes wil actually stay on. Reliabilty fitting is an artistry as much as the costume itself is

The cute ones, of course :)

I saved one, but it didn't work.

It's ok, I made a cute pug from this thread my desktop, so I'm satiated.

Ursus' room has recently adopted a pug puppy to be a therapy dog for the kids.  OMG she's so damn cute.  So much energy in such a little bundle.  When she starts running really fast, her back half almost overtakes her front half.

Room?
Title: Re: CATCHR! Pugpole!
Post by: dazie on December 06, 2006, 02:48:48 PM
Ursus works with low-to-middle functioning kids with autism.  They have a "resource" room where the kids spend most of their time, and that's where the puppy is.  She goes home at night with the head teacher.

They have someone that teaches head?  That seems a little inappropriate.

We pug sat for about a week while her owner was out of town.

Wheezy, snoring, smelly little thing.  Zeus thought she was a goddess, so I had this weird canine conga line snaking through the house for a week.

I was at work when her people came to pick her up so I missed this, but evidently after this dog poops, the owner wipes her butt.  (The dog's butt, not the owner's butt)

WTF.  No wonder the thing has issues.

Pugs are crazy cute but I've heard from numerous owners that they fart a lot.  More than most dogs.  Must be some gastro issue biologically specific to them.
Title: Re: CATCHR! Pugpole!

Inbreeding dogs for centuries tends to lead to poor genes after awhile.  I'm guessing the gastro issue is just from generations of incest.

I think you just summed up my Louisiana side of the family.  Let's just say that when any family members refer to that part of our unfortunate gene pool, we refer to it as the "Griswald" side of the family.
