Title: June bugs
Post by: dazie on May 09, 2006, 10:43:29 PM
I think that June bugs are quite possibly the stupidest insects ever.  And the most graceless.

For god's sake- even my crosseyed cat can catch them.

They seem to really like swimming pools.

I used to flick them off the screen door just to hear them bounce.

I'm going to hell.  I laughed very hard at that mental picture.

June bugs look like small brown VWs with legs.

It's June Bug time again!

Zeus is ecstatic.  He's eating one right now.

I left my camera at work.  It looks to be a long junebug season, so I'll take a picture later.

And I concur.

I'm currently taking a moment to be happy that the weather here has been so screwy, as it's kept the Bugs from waking up for summer.

Wait, what is desirable about a picture of a dog eating a bug?

That bug looks like a japanese beetle's dowdy cousin.

We had a cave cricket or camel cricket or whatever they're called in the basement yesterday.  Grumpus killed it for me.  I hate them, ballsy little creatures - they jump right at you.

Those are almost as creepy as palmetto bugs.
